Our Professional and Scholastic Background:
Joe Morascyzk - Senior Partner:
Joe is a Western Pennsylvania native, and a graduate of Washington and Jefferson College, located in Washington, PA. Joe earned a BA in history at W&J. He is proud to say that he was a founder and captain of W&J's ice hockey team. He is a member of the Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity, one of the oldest in the country, and continues to help the fraternity at W&J in an advisory capacity. Joe is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where he received a degree of Juris Doctor (law degree), and participated on the mock trial team. He passed the Pennsylvania and West Virginia Bars in 2004 and 2005, respectively. He is licensed to practice law in all state courts of Pennslvania and West Virginia. He is licensed to practice law in Federal Court in the United States District Court, Western District of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, West Virginia Bar Association, and the Washington and Allegheny County Bar Associations. Joe practiced law as an associate attorney with two other local, general practice law firms for three years before beginning his own practice in 2007 and partnering with Jake Polochak in 2010.
Jake Polochak - Senior Partner:
Jake grew up in Canonsburg, PA, and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2000. Jake is also a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where he received a degree of Juris Doctor (law degree) in 2003. Jake passed the Pennsylvania Bar in 2003. He is licensed to practice law in all state courts of Pennsylvania, and in Federal Court in the United States District Court, Western District of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and is an active member of the Washington County Bar Association. Jake practiced law as an associate attorney for Cipriani and Werner, a mid-sized Civil Litigation firm in Pittsburgh for six years before beginning his own practice and subsequently partnering with Joe Morascyzk in 2010.

State and Federal Laws are vast and hard to understand, and often times the legal system and legal procedure are confusing to people, and participating in a court case can be both financially and emotionally difficult for the parties involved in the case. We believe that as attorneys, our job is to try to explain the law and the legal process as best as possible to our clients, in order to make them understand what is taking place, what the laws are and how they effect them, and how the system works. This can help our clients to feel more at ease about their situation, and to save money rather than waste money on unneccesary legal fees.
